Engagement Personalized Invitations
In celebration of a couple's recent engagement, make and send personalized invitations. Using scrapbooking materials, create an engagement scene for the front of the card (i.e. her ring hand over his hand, a rose, etc.). Provide details regarding the celebration on the inside of the card.

Engagement Celebration Guest List
The guest list for an engagement celebration will partly be determined by the type of celebration. At a minimal, invite the immediate family and a couple of close friends. Relatives and additional friends should be invited if space and budget allows.

Invitation Etiquette
Regarding invitation etiquette, since an engagement celebration tends to be with a limited group of people, invitations need to include R.S.V.P. information. Follow up on anyone who doesn't R.S.V.P. For a formal celebration, let guests know the dress code . It's appropriate for guests to bring a congratulation card and possibly a bottle of wine. No gifts are necessary since there will be opportunities later to shower the couple with gifts.

Guest of Honor
In recognition of the guest of honor--the newly engaged couple, have a cake made for the celebration. Coordinate napkins, tablecloth, plates, etc. to go with the colors used for the cake. Decorate the room with heart shaped mylar balloons and roses. Provide an opportunity for the couple to share from their hearts the love they have for each other.

Party Favors for an Engagement Celebration
Purchase small heart shaped containers to be used as party favors for an engagement celebration. Fill the containers with mints and nuts. For a February celebration, use candy conversational hearts.

An Engagement Party does give you the perfect opportunity to officially announce your engagement and a chance to celebrate this exciting time with your friends and family. Keep in mind that some of the most enjoyable and memorable engagement parties are simple low-key events. One part of the decorations you may want to think about are the use of flowers to provide a stunning centerpiece on your engagement party serving tables or simple vases of flowers around the room.
